Idag hade Gillis förskola luciafirande. Det är fotoförbud på barnen (tack och lov) men det var mysigt. Alla barn stod ute och sjöng på gården, kläderna satt utanpå overallerna men Gillis hade på sina under, dock med tomtemössan på ute. Sedan blev det kaffe och pepparkakor. Odd och jag tittade på varandra under sångerna och mimade under tre gubbar att "tänk att vi är på vår första lucia som förälder, WOW!!!!!!".

Sedan kom jag på den briljanta idéen att ta en selfie för att minnas stunden men det kändes lite pinsamt med alla föräldrar bredvid i en ring så jag sa till Odd att vi endast har ett snabbt försök:

Bara en av oss fick till det. Säger dock inte vem.

Efter det åkte vi en snabbis till huset för att se fläkten som var ditsatt och kolla till golvet. Sedan fick Gillis plocka eget fredagsgodis i hotellets lobby. Bra idé Scandic! Nu kom vi precis upp från hotellets bistro och vi har lagt barnen. Det innebär en miniflaska vin från minibaren och Netflix i sängen för Odd och mig (vi ser om Breaking Bad). Tänk vad mysigt det kunde bli med renoverings-försening = fredagskväll på hotell!

Gillis' preschool arranged a Lucia-celebration today. You're not allowed to take pictures of the kids (thank God), but it was a nice little event. All kids gathered outside in the yard with their outfits over their outerwear (Gillis had his Santa outfit under his overall for some reason, but you could still see his hat). After the procession we had coffee and gingerbread. Odd and I looked at each other during the songs and when it was time for "Tre gubbar" we whispered "Can't believe we're at our first Lucia-celebration as parents, WOW!!!"

Then I came up with the brilliant idea of taking a selfie to remember the moment, but it felt a little embarrassing with all the other parents around so we had to make it quick. Only one of us made it work. Not saying which one of us.

Then we left preschool and checked up on the house one last time for today before going back to the hotel. The kitchen fan is now installed and we took another look at the floor. Gillis got himself some Friday-candy in the hotel lobby, great idea Scandic! Now we just got back to our room from the hotel bistro. The kids are in bed and it looks like the night for me and Odd will consist of a mini bottle of wine from the minibar plus watching Netflix in bed. Leaning towards Breaking Bad... Who knew a Friday night in a hotel room could be this cozy!
