Hipp hipp Hurra! Imorse firade vi Gillis. Det blev inte direkt att vi kom in till hans sovrum sjungades med en bricka utan vi var redan uppe så Odd kom in med allt i vardagsrummet och så sjöng vi där. Gillis blev lite fundersam men sedan blev han glad och började hoppa och skutta. Han fick frukost och en chokladboll. Det är hans favoritsötsak.

Jag ville egentligen att han skulle få öppna ett paket på morgonen och resten ikväll eftersom jag ensam skulle få iväg honom (och Sally) till förskolan och hur kul är det att behöva lämna allt man precis har öppnat och gå? Det är som öppet för strid. Men Odd ville att han skulle få alla. Vi kompromissade så han har kvar en lastbil och pyssel/ritbok och kritor. Vi hann leka en timma som tur var så det var ingen katastrof för honom att knata iväg.

Det är bra att köpa leksaker som är kul både för honom och mig. Lego är beroendeframkallande. Ett tag ville jag sätta barnen framför paddan så att jag kunde bygga ihop allt i lugn och ro men det hade ju varit fel..........:-)

Hip hip hurray! This morning we celebrated Gillis. Waking him up with song and some nice breakfast didn't really work since all of us were up already, so Odd brought everything into the living room where we had a happy birthday-singing session. Gillis found the whole thing a little weird at first, but then he bought the concept and started to jump around in a happy manner. He got a chocolate ball for breakfast - his favorite sweet.

I wasn't super fond of the idea to let him open all the presents at once in the morning. I thought one could be enough, saving the rest for the evening since I had to get him ready for preschool and Sally needed to get dressed too. One can imagine how fun it is to get all this new stuff when you're two years old and then just have to leave them. What a great disappointment. But Odd wanted him to have all presents at once, so we had to compromise. We saved a truck, a drawing book and some crayons for later. We also had time to play for an hour before we had to leave, so things worked out just fine.

I enjoy buying toys that are not only fun for the kids, but for me as well. Lego is addictive. For a while I wanted to put the kids in front of the iPad so I could put everything together myself, but that wouldn't have been the most appropriate thing... :)
