Rösta EU-val! | Isabella Löwengrips blogg

Den 25 maj är det dags för EU-valet. Det är ett viktigt val men jag kan också erkänna att det inte alls är lika spännande som riksdagsvalet i höst. Men EU växer ständigt och får mer inflytande och det är viktigt att man röstar in rätt personer som brinner för frågor som man själv tycker är viktiga. Ska jag vara helt ärlig så har jag alltid varit lite EU-kritisk. Alltså, jag är för EU egentligen, vill att Sverige ska vara med och tror på öppna gränser men (stort men) jag vill inte ha euro och precis som jag tycker allmänt inom politiken så ska många frågor inte bestämmas på EU (eller riksdags)-nivå utan så nära folket som det bara går. Jag är nog lite motsägelsefull, men jag tror på att underlätta handel går att göra lika bra fast att behålla vår valuta. Jag vill att Sverige ska ha vår riksbank och att vi kan styra över vår egen ekonomi.

Därför tror jag att min röst kommer att gå till Fredrik Federley. Visserligen är han centerpartist och jag är moderat men jag tycker om de frågor de går till val på. Eu ska verkligen besluta om färre saker, men göra dem bättre. Centern tycker som jag när det gäller nej till euron, man är emot centralisering men för ett öppet EU när det gäller handel.

En annan person som jag också funderar på att ge min röst till är Anna Maria Corazza Bildt. Anna Marias hjärtefråga är mat. Hon vill att EU ska skärpa reglerna kring märkning av kött, förtydliga ingredienser. Sedan brinner Anna Maria även för att förenkla för företagandet och handeln i Europa, mindre byråkrati. Dock är Anna Maria för att byta till euro i Sverige och det kan göra att jag inte röstar på henne. Jag ska klura ett tag till och känna efter.

It's an important election but I have to admit that I don't find it as exciting as the coming parliament elections this fall. But the EU is growing constantly and their influence is increasing so it's important to vote for the right people who can push the questions that are important to you. If I'm going to be honest I've always had reservations about the EU. I mean, I am for it in principle and want Sweden to be a part of it and I believe in open borders but (big but) I don't want the euro and just as I think about politics in general, I don't want so many questions to be decided on EU (or parliamentary) level but as close to the people as possible. My views are a bit contradictory, I believe in making trade easier but I think that it can be done with the current currency. We should have our own national back and be able to regulate our own economy.

That's why my vote is going to go to Fredrik Federley. He might belong to Centerpartiet and while I'm a Moderat, I like the questions that they are bringing up. The EU should have less decision making power and become more efficient. Centerpartiet do not want the Euro and are against centralisation but for an open EU when it comes to trade.

Another person I've considered voting for is Anna Maria Corazza Bildt. Anna Maria's core question is food. She want the EU to introduce stricter regulations when it comes to branding meat and for ingredients lists to become clearer. Anna Maria is also passionate about making it easier to run businesses and trading within the EU by reducing the bureaucracy. On the other hand, Anna Maria is for changing the Swedish Krona for the Euro and that's the reason why I will not vote for her. I'm going to think about it some more and give myself time to reflect on my decision, though.[/showhide]
