På fredag så får vi nycklarna till vårt hus. Herregud vad tiden har gått fort. Vi hinner typ vara i huset i en kvart innan hantverkare kommer och kör igång med alla renoveringar. Det är nämligen knappt med tid för den 15 december måste vi lämna vår lägenhet till dom nya ägarna. Köket kommer att hinnas med utan problem. Även måla och betsa golv. Men det är badrummen som är precis på gränsen. Så nu är det alltså mycket på gång. Alla stora möbler är beställda och målarfärg är beställt. Nu är det egentligen bara att vänta in nycklarna och hantverkarna och köra! Jag tänkte att ni skulle få se hela husets planritning:

Bottenplan, där man kommer in har jag visat förut men nu har Ida lagt in möbler, så kul att se. Nästa år kommer vi att renovera halva garaget till kontor samt att byta plats på där man hänger av sig ytterkläderna och toaletten. På så sätt blir toan och tvättstugan ett gemensamt stort badrum och utgång till garaget blir inte via tvättstugan utan genom hallen. Mer logiskt.

... Och såhär blir övervåningen! Tre sovrum plus tv-rum där vi ska ha en enorm soffa på fyra meter samt ett jätte tågbord från Brio i andra delen som är en lekyta. Vi renoverar ju båda badrummen och vi kommer att ta bort bastun. Det hade varit trevligt om bastun var i anslutning till badrummet men nu är den på andra sidan. Märkligt. Hallen får bli platsbyggda garderober istället. En familj kan inte få för mycket förvaring he he...

Åh snart är det dags! Nu ska vi bara in i renoveringsvärlden. Det lär bli ett antal svett-attacker under tiden men allt löser sig. Vi har ju hjälp av Ida också och det gör mycket.

On Friday we're getting the keys to the house. Can't believe how fast everything is moving. We can barely spend 15 minutes in the house before craftsmen show up, starting to work on all the renovation projects. The new owners of our apartment get access on December 15th, so we don't have much time. I'm pretty confident the kitchen will be ready in time. Walls and floors will probably also be ready when we move in. I'm a bit concerned about the bathrooms though, I think we'll be just on the finish line when it's time for move in. In other words, there's a lot going on at the moment. We've ordered all of the essential furniture and the paint we've chosen, so the keys and the handy-people are more or less what's left waiting for before we're ready to go! I thought I'd show you what the floor plan looks like:

So this is the ground floor. I've showed you the entrance already, but this time Ida added some furniture to the drawings. Doesn't it look great? Next year we'll be renovating half of our garage. We're also planning to change the place where you hang outerwear and the location of the bathroom. We want to combine the bathroom and laundry room and make it one, large bathroom. That way we can access the garage through the hallway instead of through the laundry room. Makes more sense.

...and this is what upstairs look like! Three bedrooms plus a TV-room where we're going to put a huge couch (four metres long) and a Brio railway-table. The railway will be at the other end of the room, which will act as a play area. As I've mentioned before, we're renovating both of the upstairs bathrooms and we're also getting rid of the sauna. It would have been nice if you could enter the sauna through the bathroom, but as it looks now it's on the other side. Strange. The hallway will be transformed into built-in closets instead. A family can never have too much storage space, he he...

Can't wait to get the keys! For now we just have to enter the "world of renovation". I'm betting there will be some sweaty moments along the way, but I'm sure everything will work out in the end. Ida is helping us out too and that's very comforting.
