Det är så typiskt för Odd och mig att allt sker samtidigt. Sista spurten i renoveringen och jag skulle iväg till Miami, och under dom dagarna skulle vi alltså få till en flytt. Därför valde vi att göra som vi brukar när vi flyttar och det är att ta in hjälp. Inte bara flytthjälp utan packningshjälp också. Det är kanske den bästa tjänsten för en småbarnsfamilj. Man äter frukost, lämnar nycklarna till i det här fallet Flyttfirma 7 trappor utan hiss och går iväg. Man lämna lägenheten utan ett spår av att man ska flytta. Inga flyttkartonger framme, man bara går och låter företaget göra jobbet under dagen. Så bra. Annars är ju flytt en riktig pärs.

Det vi gjorde innan jag åkte var att rensa lite, såsom skafferiet och jag sålde av kläder och möbler vi inte skulle ha kvar. 1. Skaffa ordentliga flyttkartonger - dubbellager wellpapp ska det vara! 2. Packa allt som går i kartonger - de är mycket smidigare att hantera och packa än lösa föremål. 3. Packa så att kartongerna kan stängas - endast i undantag ska de vara öppna, t ex en kartong med blommor i kruka. 4. Om ni använder bubbelplast, gör det ordentligt med flera lager - ett lager inger bara en falsk trygghet då objektet fortfarande är dåligt skyddat. 5. Använd packplast istället för tejp för att hålla lådor på plats - den håller bättre och är skonsam mot yta och färg. 6. Rensa och skänk bort sådant som ni inte använder innan flytten. 7.Vik flyttkartongerna rätt så att botten inte går ur när någon lyfter dem - instruktionsvideo här !

Everything always happens at the same time for me and Odd. The move is not an exception. In the middle of the house renovation I was going to Miami and our move-in date was basically the same date as when I was getting back home. This is why we decided to take in as many helping hands as possible. Not just help moving all stuff from a to b, but also with packing everything up.

You don't have to do anything beforehand, so no pre-packing with annoying moving boxes everywhere - the company does everything for you. So comfortable and easy. The only thing we did before I left for Miami was going through clothes, furniture and our kitchen cupboards to see if there was anything we wanted to get rid of. 1. Make sure you buy proper moving boxes - double cardboard, nothing else! 2. Pack as many items as you can in boxes - boxes are a lot easier to handle than loose items. 3. Don't overpack your boxes, make sure you can close them. When you're packing flowers you might have to make an exception though. 4. If you're using bubble wrap, don't use just one layer. That doesn't provide enough protection for your object. Wrap your piece up in several layers. 5. Use special packing tape instead of regular tape to keep drawers in place - it's more durable and sensitive to surfaces and paint. 6. Clean out and give away the stuff you don't want to take with you before the move. 7. Fold the moving boxes according to instructions - it's never fun to lift a box that suddenly decides not to have an intact bottom. Here's an instruction video!
