Det är full fart i vårt hus hemma på Lidingö just nu (vi har ett hus att komma hem till!! Inte riktigt förstått det än). Trappen och en del av garaget renoveras. Trappen har haft en spaljé, heter det så? Träpinnar överallt från golv till tak i brunt. Allt är borta i alla fall och trappan blir vit och barnvänlig. Garaget får en kontorsdel och gästrum och litet hemmagym i mitten. Så spännande. Vår duktiga inredare Ida gör också klart det sista. Hallen och små duttar i varje rum. Herregud så kul det blir att öppna dörren den 18 februari efter att vi har landat.

Nu återstår bara om vi ska måla huset vitt eller ljusgrått..... Gah! Och inte nog med färgen, sedan kommer vi snart ner på nyanser. Det är tuff för någon (läs jag) som inte bryr sig så mycket om detaljer privat. Men det går de liksom inte att blunda och peka i en färgkarta och hoppas på det bästa. Den lilla detaljen nyansval blir ju ett stort beslut bokstavligen som man kommer att se varje dag. En vit som ser smutsig ut eller grå som ser varm lila ut är ju inte kul alls.

It’s a lot going on in our house at Lidingö right now (we have a house!! I still can’t believe it). Remodeling is being done to the staircase and garage. There used to be a fence running along the stairs, do you say that? Brown wooden sticks all the way from the bottom and up. We removed those and the stairs will now be painted white and childproof. There will be an office, guest room and a small gym in the garage. It’s so exciting. Our decorator Ida is doing the last touch, running around checking the details in every room. I can’t wait to get home on February 18 and see what’s happened.

Now we only have one thing left to decide: Shall we paint the house white or light grey? Gah! And not just the color, the nuance as well. These are tough decisions for someone (like me) who doesn’t really care about details when it comes to my private life. However, it’s not like I can close my eyes and just point at the color scheme and hope for the best either. Whatever color or shade we choose we’ll look at it every day. To get a “dirty” white or a purple looking grey would not be fun.
